Otaku-organized, insanely-detailed naval/maritime ship environment... In whose navy do you want to serve today?

Here are some views of SSNs (Fast-Attack Nuclear Submarines) and SSBNs (Ballistic Missile Nuclear Submarines) I drew at age 16. They are not meant to be technical, jut notional, or prototype concepts. I created these out of interest in SSNs and SSBNs, and because I saw in the "Ice Station Zebra" book a Skate class or similar hull. Having enough of the farces of the NRSS Seaview of "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea", I began creating my own blueprints. (Prior to that I'd been blueprinting the USS Enterprise of Star Trek, some Space Eagles/Transporters of Space: 1999 fame, several Real-World amphibious assault ships of the LHA type (now there are LHDs) and other hulls.)

These SSNs and SSBNs are NOT, I repeat NOT classified. They are derived from model hulls, navy recruiting brochures that sat in recruiting offices, books about naval architecture and submarine design, and so on. My recruiters saw them and not of them confiscated them nor turned me in. I showed them to a retired admiral, my first ship's commanding officer (who smiled  and "yea yea'd; welcome aboard) for whom I became the CO's phone talker during at-sea underway replenishments evolutions and whenever we got underway and moored. Apparently I had great articulation and was gung-ho. But, I never progressed very far with these, particularly not going into detailing the engineering spaces. But, their ultimate use may be to place characters in the UNAUN world of "Underway- Shift Colors!"
